Teachers far and wide, get ready for an unbelievable opportunity for you and your class! Canaan has developed a comprehensive learning experience that combines the educational standards of the classroom with the fun and adventure of the outdoors- what could be better than that?

Kayaking Adventure on the Catawba

High/Low Ropes Course

Nature Outpost

Geo-Caching

Within these four Outdoor Experiences, students will learn essentials in Earth Science, Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Biology, River Systems, Orienteering, Kaying basics, Knots and climbing basics and much more! Taught by certified staff and educators, each program can be customized to teachers needs and all material is grade specific.

Field Trips fit perfectly into the school day. Starting at 9:30 and ending after lunch at 1:30. A wholesome lunch can be added to any trip for an additional cost of $5 per student. Click on the link to download a Field Trip Program Catalogue for 2009-2010.
