Canaan is now in it’s sixth year of guiding trips down a beautiful 6.5 mile section of the Catawba River, just south of the Lake Wylie Dam. Our certified guides lead you down one of the most scenic parts of this river system. To sign-up for our weekend trips or to book a trip for your next group outing please submit a request by clicking the Request a Date link on the left-hand side of the page.

1. Full-day program includes:
* All of your gear—kayak, paddle and PFD
* A two-hour basic kayaking instructional clinic
* A guided journey down the Catawba River
* Lunch on the river
* A shuttle back to Camp Canaan

2. Half-day trips include:

Option 1: (3-4 hrs)
* A  recreational kayak, paddle and PFD
* A short coaching time about water safety and rescue
* A guided journey down the Catawba River to River Park
* A shuttle back to Camp Canaan

Option 2: (2-3 hrs)

* A  recreational kayak, paddle and PFD
* A short coaching time about water safety and rescue
* A guided journey down the Catawba River to River Walk
* A shuttle back to Camp Canaan

3. Program Fees:
* The cost for a half-day trip option 1 is $25 per person; option 2 is $20 per person
* A full-day trip is $35 per person with a $90 guide fee (lunch included).
* Groups must have a minimum of 10 people and cannot exceed 20.
